Title: Chasing Red
Author: Isabelle Ronin
Publisher: Sourcebooks, Inc
Ratings: 4.3/5
It is a beautiful addiction by Isabelle Ronin. It is a love story of Caleb, a rich bastard and Veronica, a strong and an independent overthinker. From wealth to reputation, Caleb owns everything, until he meets this irresistible Red. Caleb has a fascination with colours. He named people colours that he associated with them. And so, he called her girl, Red.
Caleb was a bad boy, hanging around and having fun with girls. Having a muscular and well-shaped body, he made every girl desire for his one look and then a night with him. Red lost both of her parents. His dad cheated on her mom and left the entire family, but whenever her dad came back, her mom always gave in. She never liked him. She thought that all men are liars, they always cheat on you, no matter what you give to them.
Red always wore a shield, protecting herself from getting close to anyone. Every other girl gave in for Caleb, but she was never ready. He felt different about her and even she loved him, but she was afraid of being cheated upon. Red’s best friend Kara asked her to give a chance to Caleb.
The writing style is very engaging. The most interesting thing about this book is the description of emotion. Author has framed the emotions of the characters by virtue of eyes, that we often ignore. Our eyes carry zillions of emotions, that go unseen.
The story portrays that not every time thing isn’t worth your time, but sometimes you should chase it, go for it!
Every fiction lover should read this book. They will love it.
